Vacuum the floor of the car. Use a wand attachment that is small enough to fit in tight places. Vacuum all around each car seat track.
Blow out small debris with compressed air. Move the seat all the way forward and backward, spraying compressed air in the front and back of the track.
Vacuum the carpet and tracks again, removing any remaining dust and debris that was blown out with the air.
Use a soft, clean cloth to wipe the tracks clean. Move the seats completely forward and backward to be sure that the entire track is clean.
Use a damp cloth to remove any tough buildup or stains from the car seat tracks. Completely dry each track with a clean, dry cloth.
Lubricate the tracks with a synthetic lubricating spray. Wipe up excess lubrication with a clean, dry cloth.
