How To Find the Best Deals on Tires

The answer to this question is:

Check your tire for the size information. It will be inscribed on your tires sidewall, below the tire manufacturer's name. The number will include the relative width, relative wall height and the wheel size. These will be separated by a “/” (backward slash). It is a good idea to copy this number down.

Take a piece of paper and write down all of the companies that you found offering deals on tires. You should include the name, address and phone number of each one. Leave at least 4 spaces in-between each name to allow room for notes.

Decide how many tires you want. You should at least replace 2 at a time, but sometimes you can find better deals on replacing all 4 at once. You can ask the dealers for prices on 2 and 4, and then compare them.

Begin at the top and go down the list calling and verifying the deals they are offering. Make sure you ask for any additional fees charged for installing them. You will find that most ads do NOT include these in the price you see, and they can add up to a lot. These fees could be for, but are not limited to: tire balance, stems, install, disposal, warranty and others.

Once you have all of the needed information, compare all of the prices and select the best deal for you. You may be surprised how much you can save with just a little time invested. You may also find that it is not the “so-called” discount places that always have the lowest price on tires.
