Download and install the AvantGo software, then use your synchronize feature to install AvantGo onto your mobile device (Palm, Windows CE, or Wireless Access Protocol phone).
Finish the AvantGo registration process and explore AvantGo's channels on your desktop or laptop computer.
Start creating your own eHow channel on AvantGo by clicking the Create Channel button on the Channels page.
Open a new browser window on your computer (Ctrl+N in Windows, Command-N on the Mac), navigate to the eHow you want to download to your mobile device, such as "eHow to Boil Water," and click on the "Download to PDA" link above the eHow's step-by-step instructions.
Wait for the AvantGo window to appear, featuring a box with the eHow's title and URL.
Use the defaults in the Channel Size section of the box for all of your eHows, and in the Channel Refresh section, select the "only once" option.
Tap the Save Channel button at the bottom of the page, log out of your AvantGo window, and synchronize your mobile device.
Verify that your new eHow is now on your PDA (personal digital assistant) by opening AvantGo from the menu. The eHow title should be listed as one of your channels. Open it and you'll find an "eHow on the Go!" version of the eHow, customized for your PDA.
